It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Pluma, Toy Bank of Greater Paso Robles board member. For 25 years, Bill was an energetic and passionate supporter of our mission. He was president for 17 years and served as the fundraising chair for the last eight years. We all feel the impact of his loss.
Bill was an advocate for volunteering and giving back to the community. He put thousands of hours into supporting the Food Bank, Optimist Club, Toy Bank and other organizations. In 2007, he received a Presidential Award from President Bush in recognition of volunteering more than 4000 hours in two consecutive years!
The Toy Bank Board of Directors will miss Bill’s unstoppable efforts to bring Christmas joy to low income families with children in the greater Paso Robles area. Our deepest condolences to Janice Pluma and family, as well as everyone who knew Bill and enjoyed collaborating with him to make our community a great place to call home.
The Toy Bank of Greater Paso Robles is a non-profit, community based, all volunteer organization that was established in 1994.
